While exiting Idaho, we pass by the the Wolf Lodge Inn and stop at Exit 0 for a view from Look Out Pass. After crossing the Idaho-Montana border, our first stop is the 50,000 Silver Dollar bar in Haugan, MT. Next, we head a few miles down the road to the St Regis Travel Center where we have lunch at Huck’s Grill, explore the trout aquarium and have a little gamble in Cutthroat Henry’s casino. From St Regis, we continue on Interstate 90 to Three Forks, Montana where we’ll be spending the next few nights with family. We start the next day with a home-made breakfast, some local coffee and some wild life spotting. Early that afternoon, we explore Canyon Ferry Lake and stop for a huckleberry milkshake at Broadwater Tack. We have lunch at the Bunkhouse Bar & Grill and try their burgers, beers and ciders. We spend the rest of the afternoon driving back roads and hanging out with family. For dinner, we head to Sacajawea Hotel for a lovely meal at Pompey’s Grill.
