Do these pencil drawing practice exercises to get better at drawing ellipses and to understand how ellipses change when applying perspective! We'll start with simple exercises to loosen up by sketching ellipses using the hula-hoop method. Then, we'll practice applying perspective to ellipses in relation to a horizon line or eye level. Finally, practice your sketching and shading skills as you complete a sketchbook project with me. We'll apply perspective to ellipses as we sketch some basic still life objects. As we work on this project you'll also deepen your understanding of how to know where to shade a drawing.
