Momigami From Magazine Pages: How to Distress Magazine and Coffee Table Images PART TWO

(Actual paper folding starts at the 7.15 mark.) Momigami is a traditional Japanese paper technique that turns paper into a gorgeous soft paper. Today we look at a way to turn ordinary magazine pages and glossy images from coffee table books into momigami papers that you can use in art journals and other mixed media techniques. PLEASE NOTE: IT IS IMPORTANT TO COAT YOUR PAGES IF THEY ARE GOING IN A JOURNAL, OTHERWISE THE OIL MAY LEAK ONTO OTHER PAGES. Try acrylic gel medium, a coat or two of PVA/craft glue/Mod Podge, etc., and be sure and test before gluing into a new book. WHEW!
