On June 28, 2014, my granddaughter Jadyn drowned in the pool after my grandson Dakota’s high school graduation celebration. She was underwater for about two minutes, with no breathing for over five. Jadyn, 10 years old at the time, was swimming in the pool, when suddenly she was sucked to the side of the pool, her hair caught in the intake valve. Her little friend Kayla yelled out for help. James (Jadyn’s daddy) was in the pool, swimming, when he looked over to see his lifeless baby stuck underwater and not moving! He got to her and pulled her, literally ripping her hair from the valve, and threw her to the cement pool deck.
