If you are unsure about any aspect of the task please seek professional advice. Transcript Today we're going to replace the carburettor on a McCulloch Mac 338 Chainsaw. Firstly, remove the top cover using a flat screwdriver and remove the 3 screws. Now, remove the air filter. Then remove the recoil housing, unfastening the 4 screws. Then unscrew the two nuts. You can now remove the handle by unfastening the screws. Remove the throttle lock, followed by disconnecting the cable. You can now remove the air filter case. Pull off the sleeve attached to the carburettor. Slide off the carburettor. Disconnect the two fuel lines. Disconnect the cable. Remove and replace the gasket on the carburettor. Place the new gasket into position. Attach the fuel lines. And connect the cable. Place the carburettor back. Then place the air filter cover back and position the cable and connect it to the handle. Then secure with the nuts. Put the throttle lock back into the handle. Position the handle cover back and secure with the screws. Place the air filter and spark plug back. Put the recoil housing back and tighten with the screws. Place the top cover back into position and secure with the screws. That's how you replace the carburettor on a McCulloch Mac 338 Chainsaw.
