May 10-11, 2023 We make a last minute decision to travel to the most southern part of Ontario to enjoy some spring bird watching at Point Pelee National Park. For decades, Point Pelee has been recognized as one of the premier places in North America to view returning migrating birds in spring. The second and third week of May is typically the best time to see the most species and numbers of spring migrants, so we head to Ontario's most southern area for a few days of concentrated bird watching. Additionally, it's also a great place to enjoy the Carolinian vegetation and habitats that are only found here in Canada.
