How I Build a Steel String Guitar Bridge

In this video I am building an ebony pin bridge for the dreadnought guitar I have been making. I show every step of the process from the uncut bridge blank, through slotting for the saddle, drilling holes for the pins, and shaping and refining the profiles. The entire process takes me a few hours. I like to have the bridge done before I start to put the finish on the guitar so I can mask off the spot on the soundboard where the bridge will sit. This shortens the amount of time I have to spend removing lacquer before I glue on the bridge.
