Following his reveal back in 2006 as the main protagonist of Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Noctis Lucis Caelum underwent some significant changes in the decade that followed... with his visuals changed, his back story changed and of course, the game he was leading, also changed to Final Fantasy XV. What everything evolved into though, was story about growth, which saw the narrative of Noctis vs Ardyn come to the forefront. We also got to see how Noctis' relationship with Lunafreya evolved, although it perhaps didn't evolve in the way we expected. What's key though, is that Noctis was able to forge meaningful relationships. And he did so with characters like Ignis, Gladiolus and Prompto, as they looked to rid the world of darkness, defeat the Starscourge and fulfil Noctis' prophecy as the Chosen One, the True King... something that would have made his father, Regis, rather proud... even in death.
