One of the main disadvantages of a wet sump is the large surface area and the vapor pressure at elevated temperature leading to significant evaporation, and to comply with emission standards this air/oil mixture needs to be separated and feedbacked to the combustion chamber. This task is done by the Air-Oil-Separator - a distillation device, which has mechanical parts, prone to fail (rubber diaphragm and cooling chamber). Since the device sits deep inside the engine, often the replacement is involving, costly if done by professionals, and Diyers are often hesitant to approach this project. This video uses the coolant-out method, so that the engine can be lowered by up to 8 inches, so that the tricky intake manifold are accessible via wheel arch. I shoot a full cycle, and here the removal within appox. 78minutes, and with room for improvement as I had to redo a few things, not following a little script I wrote for myself prior.
