Here's a very classic false proof based on the idea that sqrt(ab) vs sqrt(a)*sqrt(b) if a and b are both negative. The math mistake is that sqrt(-1*-1) is not the same as sqrt(-1)*sqrt(-1) because we are not allowed to do so.
