Cockatiels Up Close & in Detail 🦜The Bird Sanctuary | 2hrs of Outdoor Playing

🕊️🦜 THE BIRD SANCTUARY 🦜🕊️ • This video contains 2hrs of our Beautiful Cockatiels enjoying the Australian sun, with a few Spotted Doves heard in the background. • Our videos are made to keep your bird company and encourage new sounds & songs. • Cockatiels and small parrots thrive on repetition. Playing these videos will help your bird learn. IMPORTANCE OF SUNLIGHT FOR COCKATIELS: • Firstly, please expose your birds in a controlled environment • NEVER leave them in direct sun unattended. • Promotes Bone Health • Crucial for the synthesis of Vitamin D3 • Regulates behavior patterns • Mood enhancement - reduces stress & anxiety SAFETY PARAMETERS: • Ensure your Birds cage is safe & can protect from predators • Provide shade to give your bird a rest from direct sunlight • Stay by your birds side - do not leave them unattended outside & in direct sun. • Ensure a controlled and safe environment at all times. • Monitor your bird for signs of discomfort, or overheating • Ensure water is accessible at all times • Increase sun exposure gradually, and keep it to around 30minutes with shade • Always ensure air quality is good outside (no smoke nearby) • If the weather temperature is above 30° Celsius / 86° Fahrenheit - do not take your birds outside Birds need exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light to produce vitamin D in their skin, which allows them to absorb dietary calcium. Glass windows filter out UV light, so placing a cockatiel’s habitat next to an indoor window is not enough. Instead, birds can get natural UV exposure by spending time outside in an escape-proof outdoor cage when weather permits. Birds should never be left unattended while outside *This is our way of maintaining our 'Tiels health, we are not licensed professionals, always contact your local Avian Veterinarian for professional & qualified advice for the health & safety of your birds.
