While it is true that Continuum Split can be mechanically demanding and sometimes a bit complex, you can still reach high numbers without putting countless hours into mastering it. If anything I would advise you to learn a simplified version of an opening Continuum Split as it useful for both damage and for providing a burst of boons if you are playing Support Chronomancer.
