Howdy ya’ll! Welcome back. Today will be a second video about the Lost City of Norumbega. If you haven’t checked out my first video it will be linked down below. In the video today we will discuss the 1881 Book “The Discoveries of America to the Year 1525” by Arthur J Weise, which suggests the lost city of Norumbega could possibly be located atop The Palisades in New York / New Jersey. Today we will dive into the oldest photographs of The Palisades that I could find, as well as briefly discussing some excerpts from the 1881 book. We will also look at “Mansion Row” which existed atop The Palisades during the late 1800’s, before being inexplicably torn down by the 1930’s. We will also look at “Palisade Park”, an amusement park on The Palisades which suffered a great fire in 1944. Let’s take a deep dive into to these images, and discuss the possibilities of Norumbega, the lost Norse city, being associated with The Palisades. Enjoy!
