Watch my latest video here:    • Solo Bushcraft & Winter Hare Hunting ...   On this trip, I head off on my first solo camping trip in the Chilcotin, a region of British Columbia I recently moved to. I started my trip with a short hike into the back country. I ended up choosing to pitch my camp on a cliff face over looking a large muskeg with a great view of the local mountains. Throughout the trip, I got some much needed practice in on my basic wilderness skills since it had been such a long time since my last bush trip. I set up a stake-less tarp shelter, made a fire with some local materials, did some camp cooking with some of last fall's Canadian Goose legs, and a lot more - but I most importantly spent the time relaxing in the camp, and enjoying the new views of the northern Chilcotin. Sorry for the wind in the middle of the video! I am working on getting equipment to minimize it.
