Full Hotel Tour & Review of The Pinnacle Harbourfront Hotel, Vancouver, BC

I stayed in a 2 double bed room. This is my Hotel Tour, Exploration and Review of The Pinnacle Harbourfront in Vancouver, Bristish Columbia, Canada. Yes, this is the Hotel I stayed at in Vancouver, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!! The staff was AMAZING and VERY FRIRNDLY, the restaurant food was EXCELLENT, the service was EXCELLENT, and the room and hotel itself was almost spotless aside from a tiny stain on the couch and the room doors somewhat chipping paint. This hotel needless to say was also VERY INTERESTING, and this is a 4 star modern business and convention center hotel marketed in the same class as a regular Marriott or Hilton, though let me tell ya, it has MUCH more character than a typical Marriott or Hilton!!!! Completed and Opened in 1975 with heavy guest room renovations done in 2010 for the Winter Olympics, along with major renovations done to the lobby in 2011 and 2015, this place is the best of both retro and modern, and still holds lots of charm despite being renovated. The only recent renovations were just the rooms and lobby, just that. And they were renovating the restaurant when I was here as you will see. What makes this place interesting and cool is that the lobby and restaurant looks Ultra Modern, the guest rooms look modern but not necessarily the latest and greatest but still look shiny and new, but the Convention Center carpet and wallpaper in there and lobby bathrooms look straight out of the 90s, and the exterior, the elevators, penthouse floor, lounge, Vistas room and the pool area and its changing rooms all look straight out of the 1970s and all are original from 1975. So this place again, best of retro and modern. Also, the Hallways looks very retro and look like a 1970s or 1980s Las Vegas Style Casino Hotel with the carpet and wallpaper, but with a modern looking renovated ceiling, and new room number labels. This is something that I absolutely LOVED about the hotel which some people on TripAdvisor hate. This place is like a TIME MACHINE, and you feel like you are in a different era depending on which part of the hotel you are in!!! I loved that about it!!! I'm also amazed yet pleased this hotel has kept so many Vintage and Charming features original considering the fact this place originally opened as a Holiday Inn, and as changed names and ownership several times, later becoming a Ramada, then a Marriott, and once the Marriott across the street opened, then became a Renaissance, and then in 2015, Marriott sold the property, the Renaissance name was dropped, and the hotel became locally owned by a local real estate company and is now The Pinnacle. This Hotel was GREAT, I'D HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place if you are coming to Vancouver!!!! The Staff was the BEST!!! Some of the doors had chipping paint and they did have issues with 2-3 of the AMAZING Otis Elevators breaking down, which sucks cause of how EPIC AND VINTAGE They are, but it didn't cause any delays and with how Epic and Rare they are, I hope they can just fix them, though they are talking about doing a Massive Renovation to the place that would result in them being modded, but let's hope that doesn't happen, but it is currently unknown, but it will likely happen in or within the next 2-3 years. But other than that, this hotel was EXCELLENT, no maintenance issues whatsoever, and I would stay here again in a Heartbeat!!! And I loved Pavel, Richard Taylor and all of the other AWESOME Staff here and what they did for me here!!!! They even let me see the Elevator Machine Room!!!! That all being said, I hope you enjoy my hope tour and review of this AMAZING and CHARMING Hotel!!!! Enjoy the tour!
