The search for a Bass continues as we head to Scotland’s southwest, a renowned area for Bass fishing. Our plans to continue searching the beaches with the lure rods was short lived, as the weather forecast for the first part of the trip was far from ideal. When fishing, it’s important to play to the conditions, so rather than abandon all plays we made a change to our plan of attack and roughed out the weather in a bid to finally earn our prize. Day two of the trip, saw us afloat, with Onyer Marks fishing charters, and although our Bass hopes had all but gone, a plan was hatched, a weather window was identified, and we headed offshore for a short crack at some Tope. That weather window closed quickly, so it was back inshore in search of some of the Tope’s smaller cousins, before one possible last ditch chance to hook a Bass… Or some Pollack.
