After I landed in Mumbai at midnight to kick off my second visit to India in November of 2018, my friend Sam and I took a car ride to my first official city of this trip, Pune, which is the second-largest city and the cultural capital of the state of Maharashtra. Even though it was 4:30 in the morning, the tea had us both feeling super energized as we caught up after not seeing each other for four years! Our amazing accommodations were located in a nice, safe area of the city, next to a park, and included two spacious bedrooms with nice closets, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a large living room and dining room, beautiful artwork and photographs on the walls, and a beautiful terrace that is surrounded by greenery and even had a bird’s nest!
