VLOG #25 - Racing Macau Grand Prix p2 / Sophia Floersch FIA Formula 3 comeback - technical failure

What a dream come true! That's what I wanted from the first moment onwards - to come back to Macau and race through this amazing city! I can not describe how happy I was when we signed the contract for taking part in the 66th Suncity MACAU GRAND PRIX! We flew there nearly five days earlier to get used to the jet lag and of course also meet some people there again and have some media appointments. I got organised to do a sight seeing tour and see the different kind of Macau. To see how people live there and try some typical Macau food was really nice. MGM China and IXO Models made it possible for me to come back to Macau and race for HWA Racelab there. For me it was really important to go back to Macau and use it as a training for the upcoming season, hopefully in FIA F3. Of course I could not wait to jump into the FIA Formula 3 car for the first time! Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg, Max Verstappen, Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris... they haven't won the Macau GP. It's an intensive gamble to race the Suncity Macau Grand Prix. It was not easy to perform! After an technical problem in free practice 2 I never had a chance to race the track on a new set of tyres. FP2 was done after 3 laps which I used for starting procedures - because I never had a race start on this car which has a special clutch system on the steering wheel. All together I really fucked up the most important qualifying 2 session without any experience on new slick tyres. In the qual race a lot of drivers struggled with DRS which was also completely new for me. I was stopped in the final by a technical failure. My steering wheel caused an issue in the electric system. The engine went off on the start/finish straight with a nice view to "my" Lisboa corner.
