G&L JB Bass Pickups and Nordstrand Big J-Blades Pickups Demo

Hit the link below to check out some of the gear I use: https://sweetwater.sjv.io/9gyy6j In this video I demo a USA G&L JB 4 bass with the stock G&L Alnico V pickups and 2 sets of Nordstrand Big J-Blade pickups, Clean & Clear and Warm & Wooly models. This bass has a maple neck and fretboard and an alder body and had DR Sunbeam Strings on it, the same strings were used for all playing examples. I recorded the bass direct through my A-Designs REDDI then into my Universal Audio 2-1176 bypassing the compressor/limiter, then into Logic Audio thorough an Apogee Duet. I used Tsunami cables for all connections. I had both pickups and the tone turned up all of the way on the bass for the recordings. The Nordstrands have a bit more gain to them and I left that in the video, you'll hear the volume raise a little when I demo the Nordys, by no means does that make them better or worse, they're just different and I wanted to show that in this demo. Now I need three basses....1 with each sets of each of these pickups, they are all awesome.
