Welcome back to Kingdom Hearts, I was initially planning on using this episode for grinding materials, BUT I GUESS WE'RE BEATING THE GAME INSTEAD The first time I beat KH1 on Proud, the Ansem fight was an absolute nightmare. I think I picked the Sword and tossed the Shield. I remember this being like a Dark Souls boss level of difficulty, I lost a lot. Every individual phase of this fight gave me brain damage, especially the phase after you beat Ansem and his COME GUARDIAN ;). Fun fact, you lose at any point in this fight and you have to start all the way from Darkside. (the BIG MEAN HEARTLESS WE FOUGHT AT THE START) Those orbs that shoot lasers cause me IMMENSE brain damage. I'll admit that took me like 50-60 tries. (lol) I did a bit of fumbling in the Ansem and COME GUARDIAN fight, but that was a lot more clean than I expected it to be. It was surprisingly smooth sailing from there. Afterwards, we'll be cleaning up the Hades Cup in Olympus Colosseum. Expect more of that in the following episode. Our remaining goals are to clean that up, get the Ultima Weapon, then beat all the remaining superbosses. Idk if the Ice Titan counts, don't remember the difficulty of that. I think Sephiroth will not be doable (for me at least) until we hit level... (checks notes) 90!? We get a skill preventing us from getting one-shot by lethal attacks. We have Kurt Zisa (Agrabah), which I don't remember too well, The Phantom (Neverland), and the Kingdom Hearts 1 Secret Boss, Xemnas. I think he's in Hollow Bastion. We do also have to find the remaining members of the 101 Dalmatians, and also finish up the 100-Acre Woods. We'll be doing some level grinding and farming rare drops to work towards some buffs that'll make this a bit more smooth. It's been a long time in the making, but welcome to Longplay #8, the Steam port of Kingdom Hearts! Epic Games held the series hostage for 3 long years, but now it's finally here! I'll give Square Enix props, they could've made the price obnoxiously high, but you can buy a bundle with every game currently on PC for $70. You have until July 11th before the bundle goes back up to $100, so grab it while you can! Anyways, now that I've got access to this, I guarantee that I am playing through this entire series. I'll be playing in release order rather than chronologically. Which means Re:Chain of Memories comes next..... I'm really bad at it, especially on Sora's route. We'll forget about that for now and just enjoy Kingdom Hearts 1 while we're here, I really dig this game. I never got to finish KH2, and I'm pretty much completely blind when it comes to Birth by Sleep, Dream Drop Distance, and KH3. I played 358/2 Days and Re:Coded a billion years ago, so I'm excited to play those again.
