Jahrhunderts (Cidadãos do Século XX), um retrato coletivo da sociedade de Weimar composto por mais de 500 imagens (essa obra nunca foi publicada na íntegra). Este foi dividido em quarenta e cinco portfólios organizados em sete seções. Cada seção representava um grupo populacional específico, incluindo agricultores, trabalhadores, profissionais e moradores da cidade. Sander was a German photographer working in the early part of the 20th century. In 1929, he published  Face of Our Time (Sander ) which contained around 60 portraits. The book was an extract from his larger work Menschen des 20. Jahrhunderts (Citizens of the Twentieth Century), a collective portrait of Weimar society consisting of over 500 images (this work was never published in its entirety).  This was divided into forty-five portfolios organised into seven sections.
