Another NBC Game of the week out from the VHS archives and transferred to DVD (2002) and recently Digitalized and restored making its debut on my Youtube page from the 1986 MLB season as the Mets get closer to the magic numbers and get ready for post season. Vin Scully and Joe Garagiola for NBC and includes pre game show including Marv Albert's achievement awards for the week. Andy Hawkins vs Ron Darling as the starters and both pitch a good game and New York comes from behind late in the ball game thanks to Gary Carter who again hits a pair of homers one in the sixth and the other in the 8th off Hawkins reliever Lance McCullers as Ron Darling pitches seven innings allowing three runs on twelve hits including Steve Garvey's 21st Homerun of the season in the 2nd inning as Jesse Orosco comes in the seventh hold off San Diego allowing only one hit and to pick up the win as the Mets continue to surge ahead for the post season and hats off to Kid Carter in this one.
