We dropped off my Mom at a wedding somewhere in Laguna in the morning and me and my Dad just hit the road listening to tunes from his playlist. We just rocked out in the car listening to Van Halen, Mr. Big, Paramore, Fallout Boy, New Found Glory, Extreme, Warrant, Side A, Eric Johnson, and even the guitar duel of Steve Vai and Lightning Boy from the Movie Crossroads. After a whole day of driving ( before picking up my Mom) we made a pit stop at a cafe where my Dad ordered his favorite dessert: LAVA CAKE. This song is a love letter to my DAD and an ode to the songs of my childhood. That road trip was sweet, fun, and full of flavors that made my senses explode! Just like Lava Cake.
