Time For A Little Trumpet: the Fantastic Kanstul Pocket Trumpet - ACB Show and Tell

[Link in description] Good things come in small packages, like this Custom class Kanstul pocket trumpet from my personal collection! Truly one of the finest pocket trumpets out there. As many of you know my house rule is "one horn in, one horn out." I didn't really want to sell this horn but I needed to make room for a new custom cornet from Martin Böhme. We sell a number of other pocket trumpets at the shop as well, so here are a few to check out if you need one for travel or for under your desk at the office (don't forget your practice mute!): Our ACB Doubler's pocket trumpets are a good way to keep your chops in shape, and are our most inexpensive pocket option: https://www.austincustombrass.biz/acb... The Manchester Brass pocket trumpets we sell are very good horns, these are my go-to when I don't have a Kanstul or Benge in my collection: https://www.austincustombrass.biz/fan... The "Dizzy" bell Brasspire pocket trumpets are actually really great trumpets, and the matte finish looks beautiful: https://www.austincustombrass.biz/bra... When you think of pocket trumpets, you might not immediately think of a horn that's actually fun to play, with good valves, good intonation, a good sound.... The Kanstul pocket trumpet, though, is basically a Benge pocket trumpet. And the Benge pocket trumpets are widely considered to be the best pocket trumpets ever made. According to Bob Reeves, the Benge pocket trumpets were designed for a couple members of the LA Philharmonic trumpet section wanted a compact trumpet to take on hiking trips. Taking their inspiration from the old Conn parlor cornets, Bob Reeves and Lou Duda came up with a tightly wrapped design that became the first Benge pocket trumpets. Now I have a cornet that I take with me when I travel, so this pocket trumpet doesn't get a lot of use. If you're looking for a truly professional pocket trumpet, you can't go wrong with the Kanstul. It has a nice sound, good intonation, and adjustable first and third valve slides. It even has the front-facing second slide typical of the Benge designs. This is a tremendous amount of horn in a tiny package.
