Today was playing the not absolute basic version of "Creep" by Radiohead, using "Root - Fifth" shapes. I was having problems playing along at full speed, so after I while I tried it at 75% speed, but that was a little awkward, so I tried again at full speed. Coming from playing the ukulele, the wide frets and spacing between strings is taking some getting used to. I had originally thought about playing UBass (short-neck bass), but felt that since it's the same tuning, I might as well learn on a full-size bass, thinking it would be easier to transition to a shorter neck than vice-versa. So, I might have made a mistake today, but after a bit of discouragement, I thought I'd try it on the UBass. So bass players, what do you think? Is it better to learn on the full-size bass first? It may be a few days or more before I practice another day. I'm going into the hospital for a procedure tomorrow and will have restrictions on what I can lift. I feel the bass is too heavy.... so maybe I will play the UBass for a while... Time Stamps: 0:00 "Creep" at 75% speed 3:13 "Creep" at full speed 4:42 "Creep" on UBass at full speed
