P-Hotel BIG THANKS to the kind hotel staff for showing us this elevator! This must be a very special and rare hybrid between KONE and Fortuna, built around 1981 The call fixture/floor indicator is a design from Fortuna, however the elevator is branded as KONE and has KONE machinery KONE took over Fortuna in 1981. Fortuna never manufactured hydraulic elevators to my knowledge, at least such an elevator has never been found. In the video, we were told that the hotel spends an amount of money on this elevator and keeping the technical equipment well maintained. It is being upgraded and adjusted accordingly. In 2015, it got new full-coverage photocells in the door frames, as required by law. When i asked if the elevator otherwise runs reliably, we were told yes, and that it also never stops between floors, except when things get into the photocells, obviously. It is always very nice to see a vintage elevator running well and being well taken care of.
