Our parents call this type of drum 'Adzro wo'. In the last sixty(60) years they call it Britania. The old henorwo include Dzorka, Agbovor, Kpegbe, Gbele and Torkpo. The ladies who supported them include Letsa Agbogbo Azumah, Annie Yeborwo, Adzotor Agbogbo Azumah also known as Torkpologui and others. In the second cycle were Dzogbana Gawu Mortu, Agbanu Hotor and others who took up the challenge to ensure the tradition never dies but unfortunately most of these people who started the Adzro drumming and dancing have died. Today we have demonstrated that the Adzro is alive and with new songs and we are united to keep the tradition of our ancestors. The youths in Anlo-Afiadenyigbaga have taken steps to bring back the Adzro drum which was started by our grandfathers.
