4K HUMBLED Skiing Whistler's SCARIEST Double Blacks | feat. Julian

I always knew the day I'd get Julian out skiing was the day I'd have my limits pushed far beyond my comfort zone, but I never expected our FIRST LAP to be on easily the scariest thing I've tried to ski followed by an EVEN SCARIER run afterwards. I'm pretty sure those 2 runs were the most scared I've ever been on skis... but what you don't see is the many minutes of footage I cut standing at the top of these death runs unsure if I was even going to commit to it or not!! In reality, the runs were insanely difficult given the conditions but not impossible, and I feel much more confident to try that kinda stuff again maybe next season when the snow finally returns. It's more just the standing on top of something knowing you have to commit to gaining a lot of speed and trusting that you'll be able to shut it down. For someone like me who's never had to do that, its tough to get the right mindset. That being said, this day and this whole season in general has improved me as a skier so much- comparing how I was riding at the start of the season compared to the last few days has been so fun and interesting to see! This was filmed early March, about a week or so after the best snowfall of the season. It was the first time properly skiing with my good friend Julian which was a super fun time- without his nonchalant send-it attitude towards these crazy lines I'd have no chance of skiing them. Its so good to ride with people who're better than you, whether that be biking or skiing, and even better to ride with people you enjoy spending time with! The extra boost of confidence to know you can do something is sometimes all it takes to make leaps and bounds in your own abilities! Regardless, I hope you enjoy the video and thx for watching!
