終南山·南五台景區位於終南山嶺,這裡群山起伏,自古為佛教名山與避暑之地。古稱太乙山,為「終南神秀之區」。南五台位於西安市南部長安區境內約30公里的秦嶺北麓，海拔1688米，為終南山支脈，南五台古稱太乙山，是中國佛教聖地之一，現為終南山國家森林公園的一部分，秦嶺終南山世界地質公園的組成部分。因山上有清涼、文殊、捨身、靈應、觀音五個台，也就是山上的五個小峰（即五個山峰），故名五台山；且與西安北部耀縣的五台山（藥王山）以南而得名。南五台是終南山國家森林公園的主要景點，也是省級風景名勝區。南五台盛產藥材，山形峭拔，風景秀美，從竹谷進山至大台有12.5公里。 Mount Zhongnan·Nanwutai Scenic Area is located in the Zhongnan Mountains, where the mountains are undulating. It has been a famous Buddhist mountain and a summer resort since ancient times. It was called Taiyi Mountain in ancient times and was called "Zhongnan Shenxiu District". Nanwutai is located in the northern foot of Qinling Mountains, about 30 kilometers away in Chang'an District, south of Xi'an City, with an altitude of 1,688 meters. It is a branch of Mount Zhongnan. Nanwutai was called Taiyi Mountain in ancient times. It is one of the holy places of Chinese Buddhism. It is now part of Mount Zhongnan National Forest Park and a part of the Qinling Mount Zhongnan World Geopark. There are five platforms on the mountain, namely Qingliang, Wenshu, Sheshen, Lingying and Guanyin, which are the five small peaks (i.e. five peaks) on the mountain, so it is named Wutai Mountain; and it is named south of Mount Wutai (Yaowang Mountain) in Yao County in the north of Xi'an. Nanwutai is the main scenic spot of Mount Zhongnan National Forest Park and a provincial scenic spot. Nanwutai is rich in medicinal materials, with steep mountains and beautiful scenery. It is 12.5 kilometers from Zhugu to the big platform.
