LMU Women Filmmakers Focus Behind the Scenes

LMU School of Film and Television students organized an impressive gathering of women filmmakers at the Focus 2011 event in March. Throughout the day, 17 professional women writers, producers, directors, editors and others shared their experience, offered advice and encouragement to the student filmmakers who plan to join the entertainment industry workforce in the near future. Featured in this profile are LMU Alum Gloria Calderon Kellett ("Rules of Engagement," "How I Met Your Mother"), Jane Espenson ("Battlestar Galactica," "A Game of Thrones"), Elizabeth Allen ("Gossip Girl," "The Vampire Diaries"), Tracey Wadmore-Smith ("Hitch," "Sweet Home Alabama"), Sabrina Plisco ("The Smurfs," "Beverly Hills Chihuahua") plus LMU students Emily Rome, Kimberley Evans and Professor Susan Scheibler.
