Rasti, rasti moj zeleni bore - traditional Serbian song ("Savior" soundtrack)

This song is very personal to me and I decided to make a video to be able to look at it when I need to remind myself of the song of my heart. I hope this song and images find a road to your heart and inspire you and make your heart sing. A little story behind the song This is an old folk Serbian song from Nerodimlje, a small area and village from south Kosovo, next to Šar mountaine. It was noted in the end of the 19th century. Village Nerodimlje is known as place where some of serbian medieval kings from Nemanjic dinasty lived (this song called ''Grow up, grow up my green pine tree'', is about them). The legend says that king Milutin and emperor Dušan the Great planted two pine trees. During centuries, for about 650 years, people from the village made a lot of legends, rituals and songs about these two trees, and one of theese songs is this song. These trees were very high, big and very unusual, impressive and old too. This song was used in the movie "Savior". Transcription: Rasti, rasti, moj zeleni bore, Rasti, rasti, moj zeleni bore. English translation: Grow, grow, my green forest, Grow, grow, my green forest. I have to climb to the tops, I have to climb to the tops. So I can look down the road, So I can look down the road. By the road the grass is green, By the road the grass is green.
