The first party controller I have is acient, there is no rubber cap and there is a small right tilt deadzone problem with it so instead of having to hard press, er, smash, the controller stick to the right for a smash input, there is mild RNG with my inputs so I have to harder press, er, SMASH, to the right or there is a tilt input. That does not mean I do not like to use it. In 2025, my controller is going to turn 20. Woo-hoo! Then I can think about retiring it and get a fresher one for competition battles. Instead of feeling like "oh this is poor, I need a new controller." there is a much nicer "it's lasted this long, why not let it go out with a anniversary?" not quitting thing with the controller that literally got me here in the first place.
