Απόσπασμα από τα τρέχοντα αναστηλωτικά έργα στον Παρθενώνα. Παρουσιάζεται η μέχρι σήμερα εξέλιξη του προγράμματος αποκατάστασης της Δυτικής πλευράς και περιγράφονται οι διαδικασίες αποξήλωσης και αποκατάστασης του βορειοδυτικού επιστυλίου καθώς και η εργασίες αποσυναρμολόγησης των δυτικότερων μετοπών της βόρειας και νότιας πλευράς. Περιλαμβάνονται ακόμη επεξηγηματικά αποσπάσματα σχετικά με το πρόγραμμα για την τελική λάξευση των ραβδώσεων στη βόρεια κιονοστοιχία, καθώς και την ειδική περίπτωση του κιονόκρανου «του Μπαλάνου» από τη βόρεια περίσταση που μεταφέρθηκε τελικά για αποθήκευση στο παλαιό μουσείο Ακρόπολης. The progress of the restoration program of the west side is presented, while a description of specific processes is given, such as the dismantling and restoration of the northwest architrave and the dismantling of the w western metopes of the north and south side. Illustrative snapshots are also included with respect to the program for the final carving of the column fluting in the north colonnade and the special case of "The Balanos' capital" (north side) and its transportation to the old acropolis museum, which was finally transferred for storage at the old Acropolis Museum.
