Community gardening is a great way to get involved in your local food system and meet other gardeners. It is also a way to beautify your neighborhood and build community spirit. Community gardens can be found in urban, suburban, and rural areas across the United States. They come in all shapes and sizes, from small plots in backyards to large shared spaces in parks or on vacant land. Community gardens are usually managed by a group of people who come together to plan, plant, and maintain the garden.
