SHELTER stars Clea DuVall (Argo, Zodiac, Girl Interrupted) and April Grace (Whiplash, Magnolia), and takes place in one day at a local animal shelter, where Petra (Clea DuVall), a prison inmate trustee, works to help socialize a dog deemed too aggressive for society. As tensions build between herself and her hardened supervisor (April Grace), Petra will have to make a choice between what is best for her parole and what she feels is right.
