This video is a colour split, flip and drag technique acrylic pouring on a large (for me) canvas using a small plant pot. This technique was suggested by a subscriber, Brenda S, thank you Brenda S. I also wanted to use the colour split method as it has been a while since I have and I usually love the outcome. I am so glad I was able to recover from the splat of the paint filled pot haha. I know the metallic berry did demand most of the attention but I still love this piece. I always enjoy manipulating or fiddling with the pour using my flexible tubing and/or palette knives. I did try for a little lacing using the bloom CA but that ended up being a wasted effort as it sank. Paints used: Amsterdam standard in titanium white, oxide black, phthalo green and prussian blue. Amsterdam specialities in pearl white and pewter. Amsterdam reflex yellow and rose. Pebeo iridescent in precious gold, green yellow and blue green. DecoArt metallics in berry and extreme sheen in ruby. Arteza iridescent in electric plum purple. Unicorn spit in sapphire swift. Windsor and Newton in windsor blue. Colourarte primary elements in wine and roses and peacock feather. ********************************************************************************************************* Therapeutic Creations Amazon Store Front for Acrylic Pouring and Fluid Art Supplies US: https://www.amazon.com/shop/therapeut... Generally, the paints are 2:1 (pouring medium to paint) and if needed I will thin further with more water to get the right consistency. Again, some paints require less pouring medium than others. My ratio also varies depending on the paint brand and even the colour, but this is the most uniform figures I have. I hope it helps. #acrylicpour #flipanddragtechnique #fluidart #abstractart #acrylicpaint #acrylicpouring #acrylicpouringart #acrylicpouringforbeginners #howto #coloursplit #flipanddrag #colorsplit
