We think the best hotel is really important to enjoy a city, and we want you to love our home city of Chiang Mai. Our Best Hotel Checklist was: 1) great style and beautiful architecture; 2) a cool pool to swim and lounge around; 3) a central Old City location; 4) delicious breakfast for two included; and 5) a good price. Our 2023 three top choices meet all that and more. Let us show you around and check out the grounds, the pool, the rooms, the restaurant and show you the food. We will even give you specific room rates for the high season (we choose December 15-17, 2023, a weekend - as this is the prime of the Chiang Mai winter and when most people want to come). And also for the low season (we choose May 22-24, 2024, which is midweek, at the start of the rainy season - actually a good time to come as summer is just ending). We also show you how we found the best rates for each hotel. A tip is to reserve your room as far in advance as possible, preferably at least 2 months, to get the best rates.
