Giga [12:48] I just had my piano tuned, so what better thing to do than to record Bach's first Lute Suite! This is a complete performance of this work on piano. It is standard repertoire for lute, guitar, and "Lautenclavier" (refer to recording on YouTube); however, unfortunately never by pianists. It is puzzling why more pianists do not play this work, being that it is notated so clearly with the treble and bass clefs (in modern notation). I am playing from the old/standard Bach Gesellschaft edition from the 1800s.
