Today we'll be spending a day planting a forest of 300 native trees to bring back some of the wild food sources that would have once grown on this land before it was turned into a grassland. Hopefully overtime as this forest grows, it will support some of the native wildlife that once thrived in this area before it was turned into farmland. I'll be taking you through the whole process of planting this forest, talking about the trees that I'll be growing, and covering things like succession of forests and how I plan to eventually get rid of the grass underneath and turn it into a more diverse forest overtime.
