In this video you'll learn how to play "Jumpin' Jack Flash" as recorded by the Rolling Stones on guitar. For ease of learning I've done this lesson in standard tuning. Now Keith Richards would use a lot of different tunings. Personally when I play this song on gigs a lot of the times the band is going from song to song, and singers often don't like gaps in between songs. They want to keep things moving quick, and keep the energy of the show up. Now because I usually only bring one guitar to a gig unless it's a special request, going to that dramatic of an alternate tuning isn't really an option in between songs, and it's honestly something I try to never do. This is for a number of reasons that could be an entire lesson in itself. But for all practical purposes I'll usually just jump right into that iconic riff and off we go.
