Determined to Educate, Inc.'s Founder Ms. Cindy Baah invited us on an excursion into modern African American History. Mr. Tyler Perry himself invited our group to tour his one-of-a-kind studio located at the former Atlanta military base Fort McPherson. This experience was an exciting opportunity for me as a young writer and producer to see what a man who looks like me is able to achieve in the industry. While I may not be the next Tyler Perry I now have experienced someone's legacy to model my game after, so to speak. We were all awestruck by what he had already built and how self-sufficient the property was in the blooming "Hollywood of the East" Atlanta is becoming.
