Monte Grappa - Italy's Mont Ventoux - Indoor Cycling Training

Monte Grappa is a wonderland for cyclists. It has 10 paved climbs to the summit. No other mountain offers more HC (Out of category) climbs in the world. This route takes the classic and most popular approach from Romano d'Ezzelino. Monte Grappa has many similarities to Mont Ventoux. It rises from the plains up like a giant. It has many routes to the top and there is an official certification program rewarding the cyclist according to the number of climbs finished. It has 1600 meters plus climbs. Instead of the radio tower, you find on Mont Ventoux, you will find a war monument. The monument signifies the great historical significance that Monte Grappa has for Italians. Monte Grappa is popular with Giro d’Italia and has been used several times. The first third of the ride starts out hard with an 8-11 percent incline. On the second third of the ride, the slope varies a lot with flats and descends. On the last third of the ride, the gradient becomes stable again with a slope between 7-11 percent. The last segment has marvelous views of the plains and the Grappa massif. This is an Italian classic that should be on the bucket list of all serious climbers. You can find the route on Strava:   / strava   Take your indoor cycling to the next level with our indoor cycling app Open Road: Dive into an immersive indoor cycling experience with our training app ’Open Road’ for Windows. But with music, opinions are very mixed. So we have added no music. Instead, we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute YouTube and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, YouTube, etc…) and pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride... We have left the original sound of the ride out. This is because the noise from passing cars, vibrations from the road, wind, and the rider's breathing drowns the natural sound of the surroundings.
