Reduction of albuminuria is a desired treatment target. _________________________________________________________________ About Dr. Mottl: Dr. Mottl’s clinical interests include the multidisciplinary care, education and health equity for patients with diabetic kidney disease (DKD), glomerular and genetic kidney diseases. She focuses on collaboration with primary care providers and subspecialists to deliver patient centered, guideline driven care, expanding access to medications with cardiorenal benefits for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) as well as medical weight loss therapies. In addition to her clinic for DKD, vasculitis and glomerulonephritis, she has experience caring for patients with Fabry Disease and Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease. Dr. Mottl works as an investigator for multiple longitudinal observational studies including the SEARCH for Diabetes in Youth Study, a longitudinal cohort study of youth-onset type 1 and type 2 diabetes and its complications; TRIDENT, a longitudinal study of patients with DKD undergoing clinical biopsy and the Cure-Glomerulopathy Network, a study of the natural history, pathogenesis and treatment of glomerular disease. She also has expertise in genetic epidemiology and is a co-investigator for the PAGE Study aimed at identifying genetic, metabolomic and epigenetic associations with kidney disease in diverse populations. _________________________________________________________________ About NUGoKidney Northwestern University's George M.
