Swimming With Dolphins - Full Set! w/ Exclusive Interview! Live in HD

Owl City's old side project! One year after posting our biggest feature ever on Owl City, here is exclusive live footage of Adam Young's former side project with Austin Tofte, Swimming With Dolphins. After Owl City skyrocketed in popularity, Swimming With Dolphins became Austin Tofte's solo project. If you're a fan of Owl City you're sure to love this band just as much. Be sure to read our exclusive interview with Austin below! Check out Swimming With Dolphins at: MySpace.com/SwimmingWithDolphins BVTV: So after not coming out with any new music for the past year and a half you finally put up a brand new song on MySpace, will you be releasing a full-length album soon? Austin: Yep, sometime in 2010. BVTV: Are you playing any unreleased songs on this tour? Austin: Yes about 4 unreleased songs were played this tour. BVTV: Are you still producing the songs with Adam or are you doing it all on your own now? Austin: As of right now everything is being done by myself. BVTV: You used to tour as part of Owl City's live band, what made you decide not to continue doing that? Austin: Conflict of interest, I guess. His management decided they didn't need me anymore. I'm happier and better off where I am now though, for sure and Adam and I are still friends so it's all good. BVTV: Are there any big things coming up for you after this tour? Austin: Just finishing the new album and enjoying the summer! Alright, and a bunch of fun questions for you: BVTV: What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you on tour? Austin: I'm sure there's worse but the this ones recent: I randomly decided to play "up in the stars" as an acoustic encore at Chain Reaction in Anaheim and having not played it in about 8 months I completely forgot the structure and some lyrics so I made a realllllly strange rendition of it on the fly. It kind of worked I guess, it was just funny knowing how terribly I was massacring it. Everyone sang along and made it fun though! BVTV: How about the craziest tour story? Austin: I think you can ask most bands and they would have at least one crazy story of a Philadelphia visit. Our last one was on the cusp of being of getting pretty wild. We were saved by a friend who put us up in her tiny apartment though. For the sake of keeping it short, I'll just say don't go to Philly without an escape plan, haha. BVTV: What's the most trouble you have ever gotten into? Austin: I told my mom to shut up once when I was little and the look on her face made me feel like I was in more trouble than I could ever be. BVTV: What's your favorite movie of all time? Austin: The Life Aquatic BVTV: What's the best joke you've ever heard? Austin: I can never remember jokes, so I'm not joke teller. I read a terrible Laffy Taffy one last night though so it's still fresh in my head... Why did the mother cat put all of her kittens in the trash? Because she didn't want to litter. BVTV: Mac or PC? Austin: Mac BVTV: What programs do you guys use to record? Austin: Reason 4, Logic and Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing. BVTV: What kind of cell phone do you have? (If iPhone, what's your favorite App?) Austin: Blackberry BVTV: Anything you want to say to the fans before you go? Austin: Don't play C-Low with Bobby Darling unless you're looking to lose.
