Racing with traditional Dutch sailing boats

In 1989 I made this film as a student. I filmed a traditional race, the skipper was and is a friend. We sailed a lot of summers with guests. Those were good times. In this race the ships sail from Workum to Amsterdam and Vice versa. The use of the engine is (almost) not allowed. I found the old betacam casette and had it digitized. I removed som music (copyright) and skipped the voice over. Slow down and enjoy a time without mobiles, no windmills in Lake IJssel, old fashion, old hairstyles and the smell of strong tabac and tar.
