In this personal journey, Mrs. North Carolina, Nichelle Sublett shares her journey though 5 miscarriages. Turning her pain into purpose she advocates why women should start asking their physicians about fertility earlier than age 35. Nichelle Sublett is Mrs. North Carolina 2018. She used her platform bringing awareness to infertility and pregnancy loss. Nichelle aims to reduce the stigma associated with infertility and spread hope to affected couples by demonstrating resilience and persistence. Nichelle earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Master’s Degree in Medical Science from Hampton University. Nichelle is the co-founder of StandUp Charlotte, a mentoring program dedicated to the social, emotional and cultural needs of African-American boys in Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools. Nichelle earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a Cheerleader and Cheer Captain. Nichelle obtained her Master’s Degree in Medical Science from Hampton University, graduating with honors from the Beta Kappa Chi National Scientific Honor Society.
