Ayurveda is a world-known tradition that has it's roots deep rooted in the soils of Kerala. And since I was visiting the state, I wanted to have a first-hand experience at some of the best Ayurvedic treatments and get under the skin of this tradition to understand more about its benefits to the human body and mind 🍃🍵 I headed to Palakkad where one of the best wellness retreat is located and stayed here to get a deep sense of the word - Ayurveda. Bookmark this spot if you too are in search for some mind, body & soul healing! 😊😊 Things to keep in mind: - This is not a rehab centre - mobile phones are allowed, there's even WiFi but it's best to minimize the usage so as to indulge better in the moment - Only vegetarian food is cooked & served here (it's super tasty) It is served in measured proportions, but you can have multiple servings - Each person would have a different treatment & duration of stay prescribed, which is decided post a Dr's consultation - thereby, there's no 'fixed cost' of staying here. For each person, the cost of being here differs - Ayurvedic oils and so on are available here for purchase, but will only be given to you post the Dr's prescription - Smoking and alcohol consumption is not allowed while your course of stay here - Nothing is forced upon you, but it is understood that if you're staying here, you might want to make the most of your time & money and hence it's best you indulge in every activity that is added to your routine - such as yoga & meditation sessions - Ayurveda is known to treat almost all physical, mental & psychological issues, but bear in mind that Ayurveda doesn't give you immediate results like over-the-counter medicines.
