For years now we've seen this come up on any of our what to do in Melbourne searches and lists for the top things to do or must see in Melbourne list - it's not really in Melbourne itself, but for any trip here we can now say it is totally worth it! Puffing Billy isn't just about the iconic train itself, but the crazy part of the trip is being able to hang your feet over the edge as the train is moving through the ranges. Today it feels like you’re stepping back in time, but no doubt one of the reasons it's on the top things to do list for Melbourne is because of the way you can hang your feet over the edge, it makes the journey way more exciting.
