POMPLAMOOSE is a California indie duo centered around musicians Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn. They enjoy making video songs for their recordings, with a few rules: What you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice), and if you hear it, at some point you see it (no hidden sounds). You have heard their music in commercials for Toyota and Hyundai. Pomplamoose has never followed the rules, and has found their niche by doing it all themselves: from creating video songs to selling their music exclusively online; from recording to mixing their own tracks; and from marketing to management. All with a style that's their own. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
