Driving from the north portal of the San Bernardino tunnel via the A13 Expressway / Motorway to Chur. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Swiss Alps with a view of the breathtaking mountain landscape in the canton of Grisons. The road trip starts on the north side of the San Bernardino tunnel in Hinterrhein. The 6.6 km long San Bernardino Tunnel is one of the central Alpine crossings in Switzerland at an altitude of around 1650 metres (5410 feet). The route of the A13 Expressway / Motorway leads down through the Viamala Gorge to Thusis, overcoming a difference in altitude of around 1000 metres. The route continues to Reichenau, where you can turn off onto the main road to Flims-Disentis-Andermatt-Brig.
